Safeguarding Policy Statement
Our formal commitment to the safety and welfare of everyone who connects with Middle World Farms
At Middle World Farms, we are dedicated to creating a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment for everyone who visits, works, or participates in our programmes. We believe that safeguarding is a collective responsibility, and we are committed to protecting the welfare and well-being of children, young adults, and vulnerable individuals who engage with our farm activities.
Safety first
We prioritise the physical, emotional, and mental safety of all participants, ensuring they feel secure and respected within our space at all times.
Zero tolerance for abuse
Middle World Farms has a zero-tolerance approach to any form of abuse, neglect, bullying, or discrimination. We have robust policies to address and prevent such behaviour, creating an inclusive and respectful community.
Transparency and accountability
Our safeguarding practices are transparent, with clear guidelines on reporting, responding to, and addressing concerns. Every concern is taken seriously, investigated thoroughly, and handled confidentially.
Inclusive practices
We welcome individuals of all backgrounds and abilities. We are committed to making our activities accessible to everyone and ensuring that all voices are heard and respected.
Trained staff and volunteers
All staff and volunteers receive safeguarding training. They understand their responsibilities and are equipped to respond effectively to any concerns that arise.
Continuous improvement
Our safeguarding policy is reviewed annually to ensure it reflects current standards, best practices, and legal requirements. We actively seek feedback to improve.
Who this applies to
This policy applies to everyone involved with Middle World Farms — staff, volunteers, visitors, parents, and guardians. We all work together to uphold a safe and welcoming environment.
