Why safeguarding matters at Middle World Farms

Middle World Farms is a working farm and community growing space. We welcome children, young people, families, volunteers, and vulnerable adults. That means safeguarding isn’t a box to tick — it’s a daily commitment.

We have learned — sometimes the hard way — that good safeguarding practice protects not just the people in our community, but the farm itself. Funders, grant bodies, and partner organisations rightly want to see robust, documented safeguarding in place before working with us.

This section of our website holds our full safeguarding framework: our mission and values, the specific procedures we follow, who is responsible for what, and how to raise a concern. Everything is reviewed annually and maintained by our Designated Safeguarding Lead, Martin Robert Taylor.
